Cashier

• Greet customers with a friendly smile and welcoming attitude
• Accurately scan and process customer purchases through POS system
• Handle cash, credit card, debit card, and Home Depot credit transactions
• Answer customer questions about products, pricing, and promotions
• Maintain a clean and organized checkout area
• Process returns and exchanges according to company policy
• Balance cash drawer at beginning and end of shifts
• Follow all cash handling and security procedures
• Assist with cart retrieval and store cleanliness when needed
• Work cooperatively with team members and management

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Basic math and counting skills with attention to detail
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
• Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus
• Comfortable working with cash registers and payment systems
