Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of 5-15 sales associates
- Schedule associates and manage labor budgets for department
- Train team members on products, sales techniques, and customer service
- Monitor and achieve department sales, margin, and inventory goals
- Ensure department is properly stocked, organized, and merchandised
- Handle customer escalations and resolve issues professionally
- Conduct associate performance reviews and provide coaching
- Coordinate with vendors and merchandise teams on promotions
- Analyze sales reports and implement action plans
- Support store management with overall store operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; some college preferred
- 2-3 years retail or related industry experience required
- 1+ years supervisory or lead experience preferred
- Strong leadership and team building abilities
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Knowledge of department products and home improvement applications
- Proficiency with computers and retail management systems
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
